  • 4 tbsp Flour
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • Chocolate Chips
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • ¼ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ¼ tsp Baking Powder
  • A pinch of Salt

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a microwave-safe mug until smooth.Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until the cake rises and is fully cooked. Sprinkle some chocolate chips. Let it cool slightly, then enjoy directly from the mug!
    For diabetes friendly
    The main driver is the 4 tbsp sugar (about 50g sugar), which is nearly 200 calories on its own and will cause a significant blood glucose rise for most people.
    To make it more diabetes-friendly, you could:
    Replace the sugar with erythritol, xylitol, or a suitable sweetener.
    Reduce the oil to 1 tbsp and replace the other tablespoon with Greek yogurt.
    Use dark chocolate chips (70%+ cocoa) and keep them to 1 tbsp.
    That could bring the mug cake down to roughly 350–450 calories while substantially reducing the sugar load.
